| Lot description: MOESIA INFERIOR, Istrus. Claudius. AD 41-54. Æ (21mm, 5.61 g, 5h). KΛAYΔ[IOY KA]IΣ[APOΣ], laureate head right; c/m: club (or trophy?) within incuse / IΣ[TP]I, see-eagle left, grasping dolphin with talons. RPC Supp. 1, S-1841A (same dies); for c/m: cf. Howgego 398. Good Fine, green patina with some areas of red-brown encrustation, light scratches. Perhaps the second known. This important coin allows us to complete the obverse legend and identify the emperor as Claudius.
